Leah's Story Chapter 2.24Chapter 2.24-Giving Back
I felt the ice cold tile on my back as I coughed. The pain still tearing at me.
"Leah?" a curious voice asked from the background.
My eyes searched the room for the voice. It was Josh.
"Josh ." I whispered then suddenly gasped for air and the pain shot threw me again.
He ran to my side carefully dragging me onto his lap. I rested my head on his chest as he stroked my back.
"What happened?" he asked franticly.
"I'm so sorry Josh. My brother and father killed Lorraine." My voice quivered with sadness as Josh cried. "So I took my demon spirit away."
"My mother is dead?" he whispered.
"I'm so sorry." I repeated.
I felt my body pull from Josh's chest and when I looked up I saw just what I needed. Those wonderful blue eyes.
"Charles." I mumbled.
"Leah, I'm here just calm your mind."
"My father and brother killed Lorraine. I need Lily." I cried.
Footsteps filled the room as Lily ran to my side. She griped my arm trembling.
"Here Lily." I choked out. I pulled out
Tammi's Story Chapter 2Chapter 2: The Telling
The next day I awoke in my rather small bed with the comforter snuggled close to me. My dad crept in the room and spoke softly
"Tammi, it's time to show the family!"
I rubbed my tired eyes and got up with a groan.
"That's my girl!" my dad chuckled.
We went downstairs and found the whole family in our large expensive kitchen.
"Morning" I said with a tired face.
"Good morning sweetie pie!" my mom called. "What would you like for breakfast?" she questioned me.
"Not just yet Zanna!" my dad interjected. "Tammi has something to show us all." my dad exclaimed with a smile.
We all gather in our decretive living room with me as the center of attention. Being the center of attention is something I like sometimes. In this case I did. My dad got up in the front of the room and explained to the family about the events of yesterday.
"Something happened to Tammi yesterday. She has the ability to transform into...... a demon!"
The whole family's expression lit up.
"She can step
Tammi's Story Chapter 1 .:WIP:.Chapter 1: Transformation
There I was, a little innocent girl sitting slouched on the hardwood stairs. I have long, light brown hair that goes up to the begging of my rib cage, with baby blue eyes, and a bit darker than pale skin. I have two brothers, Tucker and Steven. Steven likes to be called Specs because he wears a pair of specs. They both enjoy the vast world of paranormal investigation and soon enough they got me interested in it too! Tucker is the oldest out of the three of us; he is about three years older than I am. Then there comes me! I'm about 11 years old. Lastly, there's Steven, he's our little brother who is one year younger than me and four years younger than Tucker. I have a mom and a dad. My mom's name is Zanna and my dad's name is Jay. I found out that he was a demon, a killer, even a monster, but to us he's not like that he is kind and helpful to humans and other entities as well. My mom is a bit of a perfectionist, which is the trait about her that I don't like so
The TrundlerThe waste land behind the fire station is always silent. No birds sing there, and even the wild rabbits and feral cats avoid it. Weedy wildflowers nod their seasonal heads in the breeze. Lying fallow in the midst of housing developments, shopping malls, the new movie theater — the vacant lot stands out like a knife wound on a woman’s placid face, shocking, brazen, ugly.
It is always empty. Except for one thing: a ragged heap of old trash, all nasty black tar paper and vicious snarls of rusted wire, car parts and broken glass and other junkyard jetsam. The embodiment of injury waiting to happen, an invitation to a tetanus shot... the city never hauled it away. No one ever wants anywhere near it; it radiates an eerie sense of calculating watchfulness.
And at night, it wanders.
When darkness falls, and the last cars heading into the hives of tract housing stop illuminating the asphalt with moving-picture shadows, it… unfolds. Bitter, broken tangles, grotesquely mov
